The journey to create our 1st jean since Black Bear Brand's resurrection has uncovered something very special. The last recorded date of a Black Bear Brand denim pants and overalls is cloudy at best, but dates back to the 40’s-50’s.  The quest for the how and with who we should produce our 1st jean since that unknown date was important.  Nearly 3 years into our Black Bear Brand resurrection journey something amazing happened; the introduction to a sixth generation sewer and pattern maker… Ryan Martin; Owner/operator of W.H. Ranch.  Ryan makes every pair of jean himself, from start to finish.  With construction techniques passed down from generation to generation accompanied by his obsessive attention to details, fabrics and hardware; Ryan is producing perhaps the finest vintage-style work pants around.
